Trimergence lives on the passion and values of our employees. Our belief is that we can change the world through the evolutionary personal, professional and business growth of our clients.

Ward Ashman: Founder and Partner of Trimergence
Ward created the Trimergence system to provide a coordinated matrix of self-awareness and interpersonal tools. These tools help corporations and leaders build internal and external collaborative, creative partnerships based on the foundation of mutually evolving trust.

A self described “artist who is good at business’, Ward has worked as a psychologist and management consultant for more than 25 years. His clients include the Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group, where, over a 15-year period, he has designed and facilitated the implementation of Kimpton's highly integrated, fully institutionalized business culture.

His degrees include a doctorate in clinical psychology (including with coursework in the MBA program) from Temple University, a masters degree in counseling from Santa Clara University, and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Ward is on the faculty of Success U, a Silicon Valley organization that teaches start-up entrepreneurs the essentials, as well as the hard to learn tips that turbo-charge their learning curve and accelerate success.

Ian Schmidt: Managing Partner
Through his Insight to Action Program Ian helps clients deliver rapid business results through creating a practical and achievable strategy, action plan, and implementation approach. Ian uses the Trimergence system and his ongoing coaching process to help clients achieve their personal and professional goals.

Ian's results-oriented business approach is the product of more than 15 years experience nationally and internationally. In addition to doing management consulting with individuals and teams, he held positions in VC-backed start-ups as well as multi-billion dollar companies for more than 10 years. He has "under-fire" corporate sales and alliances experience both in management and as a quota-carrying individual contributor.
